He clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit; litigated commercial and international claims with a major Washington, D.C. law firm; served as Legislative Director for a Member of Congress; and specialized in international affairs as Attorney-Advisor for the U.S. Agency for International Development. Ed is a member of the District of Columbia Bar and of the D.C. Bar’s Law Practice Management Section.
Professional counseling experience: Ed Honnold pursued a career change in 1992 with a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree, and he is currently a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in private practice in Washington, D.C., as well as a lawyer.
